Queerzone3000 Meetup @ BOM

We had our first community meet up on the 9th February 2016 at Birmingham Open Media next to New Street Station. Below is the original event text:

This will be a great opportunity to hear what we’ve been up to and how you can get involved in some of our future projects. However, feel free to just come along and hang out and get some work done. Our aim is to create a nice relaxed and friendly queer community space which we feel is sometimes lacking in Birmingham.

Between our core members we have many different skills and we operate firmly in the spirit of mutual aid and solidarity. So if you need help with anything at all, we will try our best to help any way we can. Perhaps you need some assistance setting up a mailing list or website for your project or need help finding free software to help you make your art or have a problem with your laptop etc.

We’ll be upstairs on the comfy sofas (naturally) but there’s another great meet up called Open Code happening in the main gallery space so we may join those sweethearts as the evening progresses. You can also join the discussion in our IRC chat room which you can access via a web client here:
